1. What this site is
Audio-play.com publishes research and comparison write-ups about audio equipment, including headphones, earbuds, speakers, soundbars, subwoofers, amplifiers, microphones and related gear. The site is an information resource funded by affiliate links. It is not a store. We do not sell, ship, stock or service any product. You cannot place an order with us, and we cannot process a return, refund, warranty claim or exchange for anything you bought elsewhere.
2. Content is informational, not professional advice
Everything published here is general information. It is not professional, technical, medical, electrical or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the manufacturer’s own documentation. Product, installation and safety decisions are yours. Where a product involves mains electricity, wall or ceiling mounting, vehicle installation or any other physical risk, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use a qualified professional where they call for one.
3. Hearing safety
This site covers headphones, earbuds, amplifiers, speakers and PA equipment, so this needs saying in plain English.
Listening at high volume, especially for long stretches, can cause permanent hearing damage. Noise induced hearing loss and tinnitus build up gradually and are not reversible. Noise cancelling and well isolating in-ear designs make this easier to do by accident, because cutting out background noise removes the cue that would normally tell you the volume is too high.
We publish specifications as the manufacturer states them, including figures such as sensitivity, impedance and rated output power. Those numbers describe hardware. They do not tell you what is safe for you. We cannot certify a safe listening level for any individual, because real exposure depends on the volume you choose, the duration, the source device, the fit and your own hearing. Nothing here should be read as a claim that a given product, level or setting is safe to listen to.
Follow the manufacturer’s guidance and any volume warnings built into your device, keep levels moderate, take breaks, and treat ringing, muffled hearing or discomfort after listening as a signal to stop and consult a medical professional. If you have any existing hearing condition, take medical advice rather than advice from a website.
4. Accuracy, and its limits
We put real effort into getting things right and we correct errors when they are pointed out. Even so, treat this site as a starting point rather than a final authority, for reasons that are structural.
- Specifications change without notice. Manufacturers revise products, change components and update firmware while keeping the same model name and packaging.
- Availability changes constantly. A product covered here may be discontinued, out of stock, region locked or replaced by a successor at any time.
- Our listing data comes from Amazon and is frequently inconsistent. Specification fields can contradict the product title, attribute values can belong to a different item entirely, weights and dimensions are sometimes implausible, and variant information gets scrambled across sellers. Where we notice a contradiction we name it in the write-up rather than picking a side, but we cannot catch every one.
- We do not test the products. Write-ups are built from manufacturer specifications, published listing data and aggregated buyer feedback. We do not physically test, listen to, measure or own the products described. This is set out in full on the about page.

5. Affiliate relationship
Audio-play.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and earns advertising fees from qualifying purchases made through its links. 6. Third party sites
Links leave this site and go to sites we do not run. We are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, terms, privacy practices or anything you buy from them. Once you follow a link to a retailer, your relationship is with that retailer. Any dispute about an order, delivery, defect, return or warranty is between you and the seller.
7. No warranty
This site and everything on it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non infringement. That includes losses connected to a purchase decision made after reading something here, to a product that did not perform as expected, or to a third party site or seller.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Acceptable use
You may read this site and link to it. You may not use it in a way that breaks the law, interferes with its operation, or attempts to gain unauthorized access. That includes bulk scraping, deliberately overloading the server, probing for vulnerabilities, using the contact form for spam, and bypassing security or filtering measures. We may block any address that does these things, without notice.
10. Intellectual property
The written content, page structure and design of this site belong to us and are protected by copyright. Product images, names, model numbers, logos, trademarks and manufacturer specifications belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify the products under discussion. You may quote a short extract with a visible credit and a working link back. You may not republish substantial portions or present our content as your own. We may revise these terms at any time by updating this page, and the revised version applies from the moment it is published. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. We may also change, move or withdraw any part of the site, including removing or rewriting a write-up, without notice and without liability.
12. Severability and governing law
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in force. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s place of establishment, and any dispute is subject to the courts having jurisdiction there.
