The written content on audio-play.com, together with the page layouts, the structure of the write-ups and the site design, is our work and is protected by copyright. That covers the product write-ups under product reviews, the material under articles, and the pages you are reading now.
You are welcome to quote a short extract, up to a couple of sentences, provided you credit audio-play.com clearly and include a working link to the page you took it from. You may link to any page here without asking.
What is not allowed: republishing a write-up in whole or in substantial part, rewording our material and presenting it as your own, scraping the site in bulk for any purpose, and using our content to train or fine tune a model without permission. If you want to use something beyond a short quotation, write to [email protected] and ask. Reasonable requests are usually agreed to.
Content that belongs to somebody else
A large share of what appears on the product pages is not ours and we make no claim to it.
Product images are supplied through Amazon’s product data and originate with the manufacturers and rights holders. Specifications, feature lists and technical data are the manufacturers’ published claims, reproduced through the same listing data. Brand names, product names, model numbers and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners.
All of it appears here for one purpose: to identify and describe the products under discussion so a reader can tell which item is being written about. Their appearance on this site does not imply that any manufacturer, brand or retailer endorses, sponsors, reviews or is affiliated with audio-play.com. Our only commercial relationship of that kind is participation in the Amazon Associates Program, set out on the affiliate disclosure page.
If you believe your copyright has been infringed
We take copyright complaints seriously and we would rather fix a problem quickly than argue about it. If you own or are authorized to act for the owner of material that you believe has been used on this site without permission, send us a notice and we will review it promptly.
Send the notice to [email protected] with “Copyright notice” in the subject line, and include the following, which is the information the Digital Millennium Copyright Act asks for:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed. If several works are involved, a representative list is fine.
- Identification of the material on this site that you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it. A direct URL is the single most useful thing you can give us.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address, so we can contact you.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
To be straightforward with you about the legal position: we have not registered a DMCA designated agent with the United States Copyright Office, so this is not a formal agent designation and we do not present it as one. It is simply the fastest working route to a human who can take material down. We will acknowledge a valid notice, remove or disable access to the material identified where the complaint has merit, and tell you what we did.
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, write to the same address explaining why, and we will look at it again.
Please note that knowingly filing a false or bad faith infringement claim can carry legal consequences for the person filing it. If you are unsure whether you hold the rights, get advice before sending a notice.
